Built by People Who Know the Work
Edapt is the operating layer for public education. We build tools and partnerships that help the system learn from itself, so leaders can stop starting over and start building forward.
Why We Built Edapt
It started with a conversation with Dr. Amy Alzina in Santa Barbara. From there, our team began working alongside AASA, ACSA, SSDA, NREA, and 20+ state and national education associations, spending time inside school systems to understand what leaders were actually dealing with.
The pattern was clear. Leaders weren't falling short. The system gives them tools that don't speak to each other, processes that restart every year, and expectations that rise while capacity stays the same.
But we saw something else, too. Inside those reports that sit on shelves, there is knowledge about what works, what doesn't, and where improvement could come from. The problem was never the people. It was that the system couldn't learn from its own work.
That insight changed everything for us. The goal is not to automate reporting. The goal is to help public education become a system that learns from itself.

A Problem the System Created
Leaders spend hundreds of hours each year producing plans, reports, and documentation that feel disconnected from real teaching and learning. None of this is because leaders fall short. It is because the system gives them tools that were never designed to work together.
Leaders cannot quickly see what is happening across their own system. Because they cannot see, they cannot share. Because they cannot share, they cannot learn.
When systems cannot learn, they stay stuck. Knowledge gets trapped in buildings, in inboxes, in documents nobody reads after submission. The tools meant to support leaders have become the very things wearing them down.
The Shift We Help Leaders Make
We call this networked leadership. It is when leaders across a district or region can see what is happening, share what works, and make decisions based on shared intelligence rather than isolated effort.
Reactive
Leaders work in silos. Plans restart each cycle. Knowledge disappears when people leave their roles.
Intentional
Leaders align goals and collect information on purpose, but much of the work still depends on manual coordination and individual habits.
Connected
Insights and best practices begin moving across teams and neighboring districts. Shared routines help learning spread across the organization.
Networked
Leadership decisions are guided by shared intelligence. Successes and challenges become blueprints for the next improvement cycle.
Six traits we measure across every district
Edapt helps leaders move from one stage to the next at a pace that matches their system.
The Future We Are Building
By the end of this decade, public education will become a self-improving system. Every plan, every report, and every insight will learn from the last.
A self-improving education system will produce self-improving and self-directed students.
“Reporting does not have to be an act of compliance. It can be a source of shared intelligence.”
